CHIEF'S BANQUET
What a great time in Overland Park. First of all the Chief's Banquet was held Friday night and what a gathering of Brothers. It was a pleasure to have all of you who came out to Central States and take part of a wonderful experience. From what some of the Past Chief's told me this was the biggest crowd of Midian Keystone Kops to show up for a C.S.S.A. I personally would like to think each and everyone of you. We also had a number of visitors. Rick and Roxanne Roberts (Akdar), Willy LaPointe and Trish (Akdar), Richard and Judy Baughn, Merle and Mary Cannon, Delbert and Etta Fowler, Past Potentate David and Dena Schopf, Tom and Gayle Marlow and Reiferd and Judy Accord.
After dinner we had presentations, and of course as tradition we had a underwear contest. The best was Merle Cannon. Anytime the ladies fill one man's underwear with money it has to be the best. Brother Merle came to me shortly after words and said all of this money will be given to The Plane of Mercy.
Reiferd Accord was ask to come forward next. The Keystone Kops made Reiferd an Honorary Keystone Kop. Reiferd has been out to help the Kops on a number of occasions to help make things a success. Congratulations Reiferd.
Last but not least, the Gold Whistle's came out to present the Chief, (Sherman "Tank" Cummins) his Gold Whistle. From my perspective it is a honor to be a part of the Gold Whistle Club. Thank you all for electing me to serve as your Chief this year. It would not have been possible to have a great year without all of you.
